There are various ways of communicating over the Internet, but there is not much in terms of security. GoldBug addresses this issue with rock-solid encryption algorithms and security measures. You can use its IRC, email and file transfer features without any worries, because the symmetric and asymmetric end-to-end encryption it provides will ensure that your conversations will stay private no matter what.

GoldBug is available for multiple platforms, including Windows, Mac OS X and various Linux distributions. Its components are distributed in a ZIP archive, so you can just extract them and run the executable, without going through an installation process and without installing any prerequisite tools.

Although you don't have to go through an installation process, GoldBug will take you through a quick initial setup, because you will obviously need an account and a password. You can expect the same level of security from other features as well, like the built-in email client or the P2P web search function.
